We're SO looking forward to welcoming you back to The George & Dragon. Here's all you need to know about your visit until we get back to normal. Obviously the information on this page is subject to the whim of the Government, so if Boris changes his mind we'll have to rethink...
We're reopening our doors on Friday, May 21st with cabaret at 9pm from our one-and-only Duchess. And boy, has she got plenty saved up to tell you - you really don't want to miss it. Under Government regulations we can allow tables of up to six, or two households (two households can be larger than six - but our tables aren't *that* big, Mary). Social distancing must be observed and we'll be operating a table service with contactless payments preferred. Stay safe.
Super Sunday returns with three top-class acts to entertain you from 6pm.
Our opening hours from May 21st onwards will be Friday & Saturday 6pm-2am, Sunday 4pm-2am. We are closed Monday to Thursday until 1st July (more details below).
Lockdown is over! (apparently). No more social distancing. No more being stuck at your table. Everything is back to normal - and we're ready to celebrate!
We're marking this big event with a week of back-to-back cabaret, every night from Monday 21st through to three acts on Sunday 27th.
As we'll be able to use the dance floor again, Friday and Saturday closing time will move to 4am!
Ah well. It was too good to be true. Boris has move the goalposts again, so our planned celebration of the end of lockdown is now cancelled.
Assuming the latest date for ending lockdown sticks this time, we'll be open on Friday and Saturday nights until 4am - with the dance floor back to the purpose for which it was intended!
July 1st July 29th
Kevin Walsh returns to host weekly Karaoke - moving from Wednesdays to Thursdays at 8pm. The new G&D opening hours from this point will be Thursday 6pm-2am, Friday & Saturday 6pm-4am, Sunday 4pm-2am. The G&D won't be open Monday - Wednesday except for special events.
